Tours from Glasgow

Loch Lomond, the Trossachs and Stirling Castle

The Trossachs & Loch Lomond National Park, at the edge of the rugged Highlands, is one of Scotland’s most beautiful areas and is only a short drive from the centre of Glasgow. The tranquil beauty of the lochs and glens of the Trossachs are a refreshing change from the cosmopolitan bustle of the city. Across hills once walked by Rob Roy and William Wallace, lies the historic castle town of Stirling, around which so much of Scottish history has unfolded.

Stirling Castle’s fascinating history makes it one of the most interesting castles to visit in Scotland, it dominates the surrounding countryside, and on a clear day you will enjoy remarkable views from its walls. Nearby is the Wallace Monument where you can learn of William Wallace and his victory at Stirling Bridge in 1297 or we can visit Bannockburn Battlefield, the site of the most important battle in Scottish History.
